About Us - Green My Locker

Green My Locker is a Westchester-based business selling "green" and sustainable school supplies. Each new school year, our efforts to find environmentally-sustainable, quality school supplies for our own children led to greater frustration at the lack of a single reliable source for such products. Inspired by the environmental commitment demonstrated by the children and teachers in our community, we decided to "act locally" too. Using our experience as professionals and parents to evaluate environmental claims and product desirability, we are a comprehensive source for both environmental information and supplies.

Our products are selected according to principles of environmental sustainability and fair employment practices, and are of equal or higher quality when compared to their conventional counterparts. We have sourced superior school supplies from a number of established vendors, including brands you will recognize. In choosing products, we look at recycled content, sustainability of materials, durability and potential for reuse, and the environmental management and labor policies of the manufacturers, as well as look, feel, and functionality.

We would be happy to meet with your PTA to show you samples of our terrific K-12 products, and to discuss guidelines that the teaching staff can use to select products that are more sustainable.
